The Parish Council has now held its last meeting, as this is an election year, and would like to remind all who live and are on the electoral roll of Allington Parish that they may stand for election and thus may become a Parish Councillor. We hold six meetings a year at which the general business of the Council is discussed and decisions made. Although in my view this is not a very time consuming task it does carry a great responsibility towards the Parishioners that we represent. Nomination forms are now available and may be obtained from the Allington Parish Clerk.
Please think about it as new blood is always very welcome to keep us all on our toes and provide an effective representative body for our great Parish of Allington.
