This year’s On The Green will take place over the weekend of 6/7/8th July. The format will follow the pattern established in previous years but as ever there will be upgrades. On the Sunday the car show will be complemented by celebrations of Allington Morris’ 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion there will be a bevy of visiting Morris Sides that will provide a spectacle of colour, dance and music. An application has been made for a repeat of the Lancaster flypast and further activities are being considered.

The music will kick off on Friday night when the headliners will be the ModSkas. Their name says it all and our line up for Saturday will conclude with some classic rock from Bad Whiskey. In between there will be a range of solo artists, at least one more band and hopefully a few surprises. We can accommodate performers on a no fee basis on Saturday from noon until 3.00pm.

As usual there will be a beer festival running throughout the weekend with a wider range of drinks and food available from the Welby Arms. Tickets will go on sale at the end of May. In the first instance publicity about tickets will be limited to this website, the village Facebook group and local posters in order to give priority access to local residents. They will be available online and at village outlets.
