ON THE GREEN 2018

6/7/8 July

Three days of live music, classic cars, beer festival, morris dancing, stalls, food and a flypast by two Spitfires and a Hurricane

We’re back for 2018 with an even bigger line up of music, cars, food and drink. This year Allington Morris will be celebrating their 30th birthday and have invited some friends to help them. Allington Manor is joining in with some stunning cars and on Sunday there will be a variety of stalls. We also have a confirmed flypast by two Spitfires and a Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.  There’s lots of free entertainment and a weekend pass for paid activity costs just £15.

Live Music

Music is at the heart of On The Green. Throughout the weekend there will be an opportunity to see some of the best bands to be appearing locally this year.

Classic Cars

Sunday will see the village green closed to traffic to allow it to host a stunning collection of classic cars. There will also be a display of cars at Allington Manor.

Beer Festival

Throughout the weekend Allington’s playing field fundraisers will be running a mini beer festival from a barn in the courtyard area at the rear of the Welby Arms.

Morris Celebrations

Morris Sides from around the region will descend on Allington on Sunday to help Allington Morris celebrate their 30th birthday.

Information and Tickets

As usual On The Green is a combination of free and paid for activities. Generally speaking the live music and beer festival is ticketed although we do have a free session (including music) on Saturday lunchtime.

We charge for the music because we need to cover costs and at the same time raise funds for the village playing field. The artists are carefully chosen and perform in a covered area with a stage and fully equipped professional sound system.

The price for a weekend pass is a bargain at £15.00. Day tickets can be purchased for Friday and Saturday at £8 and £12 respectively. Under 12’s are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.

On Sunday access to everything is free.

Tickets are available from Allington Stores and The Welby Arms. They are also available online from the link below. Online tickets will cost slightly more to reflect third party admin costs.
