The Annual Parish Meeting on 10th April was very well attended. The Village Plan Working Group hoped that you had all come along to give your feedback, views and comments on the Village Plan – especially the Action Plan for Allington. This was to give the Parish Council additional information on the priorities the community would like to give to the various requests contained in the Action Plan.
Only 2 or 3 came forward with questions and comments when asked, and the meeting ended in disappointment for all concerned. We understand that some of you were expecting a full presentation, which was never our intention as the time available at the Annual Parish Meeting would not allow for that. The leaflet distributed with the Allington News did not mention a presentation at all, and we can only apologise if the wrong impression was given.
LET’S TRY AGAIN!!!
The Village Plan Working Group will hold a meeting for all Allington residents on MONDAY 15 JULY 2013 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
We will give a brief introduction to the Village Plan and then we will go through the Action Plan for Allington, answer any questions (if we can!) and we will try to find a consensus as to which items are seen as the most urgent and important and which could be saved for later. We can then pass your feedback to the Parish Councillors for them to include in their discussions and decisions.
PLEASE COME TO THE MEETING FOR THIS GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY GUARANTEED TO ADD YOUR VOICES TO THE FUTURE OF ALLINGTON
Please come prepared to talk about the Action Plan. You can view the plan using the link below and copies are still available to borrow from the pub or the doctor’s waiting room. If you’re unable to come to the meeting, please leave your comments at 35 Park Road or email them to email@example.com.
