Jubilee Spotlight – The Motown Review

The Motown Review is the East Midlands premier Motown and soul band and will be headlining Allington’s Jubilee weekend on Saturday 4 June. They were originally scheduled to visit us in 2020 but that event fell victim to Covid. Fortunately we have been able to retain the booking and Allington’s playing field will soon be filled with the joyous sounds of Detroit.

Promoting this event was always going to be something of a challenge, mainly, because of the sheer numbers on stage. This 11 piece outfit is made up of three glittery female singers supported by a superb backline of bass, drums, keys and lead guitar along with a three piece horn section all topped off with a funky percussionist. We are therefore creating a bigger stage area to accommodate this spectacle of sound and vision. You’ll get all the Motown classics and much more. Tickets are £10 each from The Welby Arms or online – use the button below. And if you want to come along on Friday when we are hosting The Band From County Hell you can get both nights for £15.
