Jubilee Spotlight – The Band From County Hell

With over 2000 live shows behind them The Band From County Hell are one of Lincolnshire’s most enduring live acts. You can see them at Allington Playing Field on Friday 3 June. They are an original Celtic rock band with 7 studio albums to their name, all penned by their songwriters Steven & Julie Mclelland. Songs from the albums have been licensed for film & football teams.

Their dynamic live shows are have seen them play from the smallest of venues to outside arenas and most notably their own show at The London Palladium. They have appeared with bands such as The Levellers, The Stranglers, UB40 and have supported Stiff Little Fingers, Hayseed Dixie, The Beat and most recently, New Model Army on national tour dates. They have appeared at major events including Wychwood Festival, Rhythm Festival, Weyfest, The Bearded Theory Festival, Galtres, The Acoustic Festival of Great Britain and The Great British Folk Festival.

Their Allington gig is part of the village Jubilee celebrations and will also feature a beer festival. Admission is £10 with children under 12 admitted free if accompanied by an adult. For £15 you can get a weekend ticket that also provides admission to see The Motown Review on Saturday night. Tickets are available from The Welby Arms in Allington or online from the link below.
