Helen Taylor has volunteered to coordinate “Open Gardens” In Allington for one of the days of the Jubilee weekend in June 2012. Anyone willing to open their garden, large or small, vegetables, shrubs, children’s play area, patio, orchard or whatever should contact Helen at The Laurels., Bottom St. Alternatively they can use the reply box at the bottom of this page.

Don’t think “mine’s not good enough” just think ” good excuse to tidy up !” It would be good to have gardens from all areas of the village.

Rookery Cottage, The White House, Red House Farm (all on The Green)
Nos 5, 7, 26 (all on Park Rd]
The Spinney (Bottesford Lane)
Wayside (Main St)
The Laurels ( Bottom St)

The Ceremonial planting of the Royal Oak in Holy Trinity Churchyard at 1.00pm will be led by Will Cragg and his family of 4 generations now living in the village,Will will be ably assisted by his cousin Brian Durant. Both are, as far as we know, the longest residents of the village.
Please make sure you are there. This tree is included in the Woodland Trust aim to plant 6 million trees for the jubilee.
