The Line Up

Mundo Jazz web

Mundo Jazz

A beautifully subtle satire on the likes of Bono and Bob Geldof, Mundo Jazz is a superb musical and comic improviser, frequently creating songs on the spot and veering off into spontaneous chaos.

“Very very very funny.” The Daily Express
“Ludicrously brave and truly unique. Kill for a ticket (but not with guns).” The Scotsman
I’m going to say it: a comic creation on a par with Tap.” Rolling Stone

Hoeard Read

Howard Read

Howard Read is  a multi talented comic, writer and animator. He has worked extensively with the BBC for over 10 years on TV and radio. Although well known for his material for young people he also tours an adult stand up show.

In the coming weeks Howard will be performing at Geneva, Chamonix,  Meribel, Leicester, Kilkenny, Manchester, London and Allington! Catch him while you can.

el baldiniho

El Baldinho

The Great Bald Magician El Baldiniho is appearing (and disappearing) in some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy clubs and static caravan sites.

He’s a great at opening or closing (the doors) before he is on in the middle bit, adding something really different to any comedy night, particularly if you classify polite, modest applause as something really different.

“Does one of the funniest jokes I’ve ever seen” Rich Hall, Comedian.

Pete Teckman

Pete Teckman

Pete made his stand up comedy debut in a heat of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition in 2008 where he qualified for the quarter final (which was his second gig)!

Since then Pete has progressed through open mic nights and gong shows to become a regular and popular performer on the UK standup comedy circuit.

In February 2017 saw Pete crowned as Silver Stand Up winner at the Leicester ComedyFestival at his first attempt.

The Venue

Most people will know where the village hall is located but just in case you are coming from a small town in Wales, here’s a map.

Allington Playing Field Fundraisers

We’ve been raising money to support Allington playing field for over ten years. Sometimes our support goes towards capital projects such as the multi use games area, at other times we have helped with the provision of fencing and general improvements.

We do hope that people enjoy our events, indeed we believe that it is essential to provide high quality entertainment that  our audience appreciates. If you have any comments about our activities or would like to suggest something that we could consider please use the contact form below. We are always looking for new recruits and would also like to hear from anyone interested in sponsoring our events. We’d be quite happy to discuss ways of acknowledging your contribution – no matter how small.
