Proposals are being prepared to create a new, disabled friendly, access path to Holy Trinity Church. These plans are part of a larger project to develop a toilet and servery space at the back of the church. Nonetheless the access path takes priority and efforts are underway to raise the necessary resources. As part of this fund-raising the village will be treated to a Ceilidh in the village hall on Burns Night – 26 January 2019.
Live music will be provided by Steppin Stones whose experienced caller will be encouraging some traditional dancing. There will be a bar and raffle. Nibbles will be provided although you can bring your own. Tickets are £10 each and can be obtained from Will at Allington Stores. You can also get them by calling Chris on 01400 281524 or Mary on 01400 281671.
Doors open at 7.00pm and the event will finish at 11.30pm. You can download a poster for this event from the link below.
Does anyone have any old photographs of the Church path when it was a tarmac surface? We think this will help when we go to planning for the new path as it will show we are upgrading an existing facility rather than creating a new one. If you do please get in touch with Mary on 01400 281671.
