So what did the judges think of Allington?
This year Lincolnshire’s best kept village competition was organised by the Campaign to Protect Rural England. There were nearly 100 entries – a little down on previous years. To find out who won you need to go to the CPRE Facebook page. It wasn’t Allington but we do have the judges’ scorecards.
Like most people entering Allington one judge said
My first impression was one of delight.
The scorecards are full of compliments. There’s the odd grumble but it doesn’t seem that it would take a great deal to get the village back into a winners’ spot. Perhaps next year. You can read the scorecards yourself by following the link below.
