Instead of going out on a cold, dark night in January, the W.I. met for a social event at the home of President Margaret Dicken. It was a rare occasion that members had time to chat and get to know each other better.
The February meeting again welcomed Kara Sharp who demonstrated Paraffin Wax treatment. This treatment usually carried out at a spa or salon gives relief to stiff joints in hands and feet with the added benefit of skin softening thus, helping to relieve some chronic skin conditions. Ladies of the W.I. were treated to the hand therapy and everyone enjoyed the experience with Kara’s very professional and friendly manner.
The March meeting was the A.G.M. Reports were given by the secretary and President. Sadly Vicky Withington stood down as she had done her allotted 3 years as treasurer. Vicky was thanked for her exemplary services and presented with a very apt mug.
The new committee was formed with Margaret Dicken as President for another year.
