Allington Parish Council is keen to provide some new play facilities at the playing field. The most recent village survey showed it to be one of our community’s top priorities. The Council would like to make a bid to the national lottery for financial support to help deliver its plans. However the lottery demands that there is significant consultation before any bid can be properly entertained. In particular that consultation has to be with users – in this case the young people that use the playing field.
In recent year’s the only significant development at the playing field has been the provision of the multi use games area. This caters for a wide range of activities but is geared towards use by older children and adults. The latest proposals envisage facilities, probably play equipment, that would replace the existing and be targeted at a younger age group.
The parish Council has therefore prepared an online survey. We want everyone up to the age of 18 to complete one. We know that this may be difficult for younger children and we would simply ask that parents, family and friends help each other to make sure that all the young people in the village have their say. It is also important for children attending the primary school to get involved too.
To take the survey just answer the questions below and click “done” at the end. It is very simple and shouldn’t take long to complete. We’ll leave it open at least until the end of January 2013 and will publish the results as soon as we have them.
