Abbey Biscuits

A Recipe From Allington W.I.

Ingredients

150g margarine
150g caster sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp golden syrup
150g plain flour, sifted
100g rolled oats


Method

Heat the oven to 180C, 350F, mark 4

Cream the margarine and sugar together, then add the milk, soda and syrup. Stir in the flour and oats and mix well. Roll the dough into small balls and space evenly apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.


Notes Cool on a wire rack.
