Allington Preschool

If you want a friendly, inclusive and inspiring place for your child, then look no further than Allington Preschool. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED in 2010, Allington Preschool offers a high quality early years education in a rural village setting for children aged between 2 and 5 years.

Based in the Village Hall since 1969 our facilities include computers, a large hall, secure garden and outdoor play area. The Preschool is run by experienced members of staff all qualified to Ofsted requirements. They are supported by a Committee who provide managerial and fundraising support.

A planned programme of activities, with each child assigned a key worker, ensures a steady progression towards the six Early Learning Goals. These are language and literacy, personal and social development, maths, science, physical and creative development.

There are strong community links within Allington village including the school, church and local farms. This provides opportunities to offer a variety of outdoor experiences.  Activities within the village include walks, Easter egg hunts, tractor and trailer rides and visiting new born lambs.

There is a good adult to child ratio, which enables plenty of individual attention for all children. The Pre School can accommodate a maximum of 26 children. Parents are kept well informed about their child’s progress through regular discussions, sharing photographs and development records.
